I enjoy making components for jewelry even if I have no intention of doing a finished piece. The joy is in the process as well as in the completed work.
Face cabochons and face beads are especially fun. As I work, they sometimes begin to look vaguely familiar. Other times, they don't look at all like I planned for them to look. It certainly keeps things interesting!!
All faces are molded and shaped by the artist from polymer clay.They are decorated with powders and paints, then sealed with varathane for durability. The backs are flat or slightly curved to facilitate glueing to your chosen support. Polymer clay can be easily drilled if you would like to sew the face to your support. Each face cabochon is one of a kind.
